Non-tightening collar
Details:
The non-tightening collar is Galgina’s simplest dog collar design. It consists of a single strap, an adjustment slider, and a half-ring for leash attachment. The collar has no release mechanism, meaning it cannot come undone. It also has no tightening system, which allows the dog to wear it even when not under direct supervision. Compared to a martingale collar, it is lighter and less bulky.
For easygoing dogs, the non-tightening collar can be used as a walking collar, a house or ID collar, or as a decorative accessory.
As a walking collar, it is not suitable for adopted sighthounds or other dogs that may be prone to slipping out of collars due to an unknown history, specific temperament traits, or particular body structure. However, it can still be safely used for such dogs as a house or ID collar, and as a decorative collar.
Non-tightening collars are available in various designs, allowing you to choose a collar that complements your dog’s appearance and personality. Each collar is made precisely to the individual dog’s measurements and features a small adjustment range, making it easy and comfortable to put on and take off.
Fitting instructions
The simple collar design allows for quick and easy fitting:
- Use the adjustment slider to loosen the collar enough to slip it comfortably over your dog’s head.
- Position the collar in the middle of the neck.
- Adjust the size so that you can comfortably fit two fingers between the collar and your dog’s neck.
- Before removing the collar, loosen it again so it can be easily slipped back over the head.
The illustration of the dog’s head in the image below shows the opening through which the collar should be correctly placed over the head. If you are unsure whether the collar has been fitted correctly (for example, with a new collar or if it appears to sit oddly on your dog), fully loosen it to its maximum size. This makes it easier to identify the correct opening to slip over the head.
Options
Non-tightening collars are available in multiple widths. You can choose from:
- 2,5 cm
It can be made for a neck circumference of 16 cm or more.
- 3,8 cm
It can be made for a neck circumference of 20 cm or more.
- 5 cm
It can be made for a neck circumference of 30 cm or more.
Designs
You can choose from a wide range of materials and designs listed in the catalog. However, not all patterns are available in all widths or collar types due to differences in fabric properties. Details and limitations are explained in the description of each pattern.
