Items with a charitable note

The idea of the project has been on my mind for a long time, but it didn’t want to mature. Various life circumstances and a lack of courage and time held it back. Now that life is supposed to get back on track, I decided to bench the “what if !?” scenarios and give the idea a chance to come to life. I must admit, the first feedback positively surprised me.

With this project I want each purchase to aim towards more goals. I want to encourage people to do little good deeds and allow them to help someone by purchasing something here at Galgina. At the same time, I want to gain the value of handcrafted work, as it seems to have been lost. Since I like to sew small items, tiny pouches for my “soul”, I decided to collect them in one place and let them find a way to like-minded people. I know that, unlike the rest of Galgina’s offer, they aren’t related to sighthounds, but in a way that makes even more sense. They are made with the same amount of care and love.

Each purchase is therefore charitable and a part of the income (profit) will be donated to the Slovenian Sighthound World Association. I have been following the association for many years and I am happy to help them as much as I can. Their heartfelt efforts in welfare and changing the situation of abandoned and exploited greyhounds enjoy my support. Together we will help cover the costs of various activities of the association, such as sighthound transportation, general and veterinary expeditions of volunteers to shelters in Spain and Ireland, temporary accommodation of sighthounds that don’t tolerate life in a shelter, projects aimed at raising public awareness and finding responsible homes for sighthounds.

No one can help everyone, but everyone can help someone (- Ronald Reagan). Every, even seemingly small contribution is a very, very appreciated and extremely important step towards making a better life for sighthounds.

A smaller wallet with a wide opening for a good view of the interior. It has only one compartment with an additional 6 card slots. Hand wash, can be ironed.

Cosmetic pouches

The bag with a zipper is intended for ladies who like to carry too many cosmetics with them, but it can also be used as a pencil pouch. Light, soft, somewhat compact, holds quite a bit of content, even a toothbrush fits in it. Lined with the same cotton fabric that is used on the exterior. Hand wash, no ironing.

Coin pouches

A small wallet with two compartments is intended for minimalists who store only the most necessary things in it: cards, folded banknotes, coins, driving license. Hand wash, no ironing.

Crossbody bag with dogs

A crossbody bag for the true dog lover. The flap of the bag fastens with a magnetic button. Underneath there are a main compartment and a small compartment, both fastened with a zipper. There are two mini “slip” pockets for pens in the main compartment. The shoulder strap is adjustable in length and removable. Hand wash, only the flap can be ironed.

A medium-sized bag that will store everything you need on a walk with your greyhound. The smaller front pocket and the main compartment close with a zipper. Inside, there is a smaller “slip” pocket and a zippered pocket. There are two mini “slip” pockets on the back of the bag. The shoulder strap is adjustable in length and removable. Machine washable, iron on medium temperature setting.
